How Controller Vibration Testing Works
Most gaming controllers have two different vibration motors built inside:
- Heavy Rumble Motor (Left Grip): Creates deep, powerful shakes for in-game explosions, car crashes, and heavy recoil.
- Light Buzz Motor (Right Grip): Produces fast, gentle buzzing for footsteps, button clicks, and subtle game cues.
- PS5 DualSense Haptics: PlayStation 5 controllers use advanced audio haptics to recreate feelings like rain or footsteps.
Browser Support for Controller Vibration
Controller vibration works in all Chromium-based browsers (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, and Opera). On Mac, make sure your controller is plugged in with a USB cable or paired over Bluetooth.
